Start practicing marching skills with your cat, dog or lizard, because on Saturday they’ll be put to the test: Belmont Savings Bank is holding a Pet Parade in Belmont Center at 11 a.m.

The parade is set to celebrate an initiative by the bank called the 60-minute switch, which encourages people to start banking with Belmont Savings Bank.

The link between easy banking and pet parades is somewhat tenuous – “Switching banks can be ‘ruff’ but our switch kit makes it doggone easy!” is the slogan for the Belmont Center Parade – but how much reason does a pet parade really need?

The pet parade is just one highlight of a busy day of festivities – there will also be door prizes, a raffle, and a live DJ playing music from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be complimentary dog treats for canines.

Each branch of Belmont Savings Bank has its own theme. The Watertown branch on Mount Auburn Street is following a duck theme – “Switching banks isn’t as difficult as it’s quacked up to be – our switch kit helps us get your ducks in a row!” There will be a duck mascot greeting customers and passers-by.

Waltham is going with cake, because “switching banks is a piece of cake with our switch kit!” The Price is Right aficionados can play a game of Plinko at the Waltham branch.

Snap a sweet picture of your pet on parade? Send 'em in and we'll make a gallery. Email evan.allen@globe.com, or tweet us at @YourWellesley or @evanmallen.
