The Wellesley Municipal Light Plant reported Monday night that they were making progress fixing power outages caused by Hurricane Sandy and expected to restore power to most households before midnight.

"At the worst, WMLP had 1700 customers without power, and they estimate that most of these will be fixed shortly, bringing the number down to 200 current customers without power," Wellesley police said in an email alert. "The outages were caused by damage to three separate circuits from trees coming down."

Most of the power should be restored before midnight tonite, according to WMLP. If your power is still out, please notify WMLP directly at 781-235-7600 and dial 0.
