The Wellesley Raiders’ own “superfan” got the chance of a lifetime Nov. 10 when he suited up and took the first hand off at a recent football game.

Wellesley High School student Will Fahey, who has cerebral palsy, has been involved with the school's team for about six years, going to games, tournaments, banquets, and even wearing his own letterman’s jacket, according to an interview by The Wellesley Media Corporation.

Raiders head coach Jesse Davis said the team wanted to honor Will for his dedication to the team.

Fahey said the experience “meant a lot,” and his mother, Liz Fahey, told the Wellesley Media Corporation that they are grateful for the team’s support.

Wellesley Media Sports producer Greg Story has video from the game.
