Wellesley plans open forum on sexual orientation and gender identity issues
Wellesley will hold an open forum on sexual orientation and gender identity issues at the High School on Wednesday, March 13.
“Hear Us Out!” is an event designed to bring members of the community together for an evening of awareness. It will include discussion of the basics of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) issues; how to talk to your children about sexual orientation and gender identity; and what resources are available, among other things.
The talk is sponsored by Wellesley High School GLOW, Wellesley Youth Commission, Wellesley Middle School Students for Safe Schools, Wellesley Public Schools Teachers for Safe Schools, Wellesley Public Schools Central Council, Wellesley Police Department, Wellesley Teachers Association, MAHPERD, WAGLY and Greater Boston PFLAG.
Everyone, including youth, is welcome.
