Wellesley High School principal Andrew Keough is one of four finalists selected to interview for the open Beverly superintendent position, the Beverly district announced recently.

Keough and the other three candidates were chosen by a search committee Oct. 31. School Committee members will interview the four finalists in public session next week before one is chosen for contract negotiations.

Also vying for the position are Steven Hiersche, formerly superintendent of Plymouth, Watertown, and Framingham; Revere assistant superintendent Christopher Malone; and Beverly High School principal Sean Gallagher.

Gallagher and Malone will be interviewed Nov. 12 at 4 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., respectively. Keough will have his interview Nov. 13 at 4 p.m., and Hiersche will appear Nov. 14 at 4 p.m.

The Beverly superintendent seat is open after Marie Galinski gave her 90-day notice in March. Since June, former Somerville superintendent Albert Argenziano has served as the district's interim superintendent.
