An indoor swimming pool at a city school campus in West Roxbury will host staff, programming, and members from another indoor pool in Roslindale while that facility undergoes renovations.
The city’s Flaherty Pool in Roslindale is scheduled to undergo a $5.6-million renovation starting in mid-November, municipal officials from the Boston Centers for Youth & Families said in an announcement.
While the project is ongoing, the West Roxbury Education Complex Pool will host Flaherty Pool staff and programming.
The West Roxbury pool at 1205 VFW Parkway will serve as an additional option for Flaherty Pool members, who can also access 14 other pools run by the city’s youth and families department, the announcement said.
Before renovations begin, scheduling for programming at the West Roxbury pool will be posted at the Flaherty Pool facility and online at www.cityofboston.gov/BCYF.
The renovation project is planned to include upgrades to the building’s exterior, mechanical systems, locker rooms, other interior space, and the pool itself, officials said.
