City Councilor Matt O'Malley to hold more office hours in Jan. for his district's newly added precincts

Boston City Councilor Matt O’Malley plans to hold extra sessions of his monthly office hours in January in an effort to reach out to residents in precincts that were recently added to his district during the city’s redistricting process.

O’Malley represents District 6, which is comprised of Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury and parts of Roslindale and Mission Hill.

Precincts in Mission Hill, Roslindale, and Roxbury were added to the district during the recent redistricting process.

“I am proud of the role I played in the redistricting process and I am thrilled to represent the precincts that have been added to District 6,” said a statement from O’Malley. “I look forward to getting to know my new constituents, hearing their concerns and addressing their questions.”

His weekday district office hours will be held on Friday mornings.

The schedule for January is:

  • Friday, Jan. 4 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Caffè Aromi, at 403A Centre St. in Jamaica Plain. Neighborhood liaison Ture Richard Turnbull will also attend.
  • Friday, Jan. 11 from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Millennium Restaurant, at 3094 Washington St., Roxbury. Jamaica Plain liaison Ture Richard Turnbull will also attend.
  • Friday, Jan. 18 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Fazenda, at 3710 Washington St. in Jamaica Plain. Neighborhood liaison Ture Richard Turnbull will also attend.
  • Friday, Jan. 25 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Harry's All American Breakfast at 1420 Centre St., Roslindale. West Roxbury liaison Bill MacGregor will also attend.

O’Malley’s City Hall office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To reach the office, call 617-635-4220.
