Concetta “Connie” Falanga of West Roxbury turned 100 years old on Thursday.

She received a birthday cake and flowers from staff at Ethos, a nonprofit that provides care to Boston seniors.

The city’s elderly affairs department commissioner, Emily Shea, brought the centegenarian a certificate signed by Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino to honor her milestone.

Falanga is a client of Ethos’ home care and Meals on Wheels programs.
