The city and the Mass Audubon conservation organization will host a bird-watching walk around Millennium Park in West Roxbury this month.

Participants, who will try to spot various winter bird species, should meet at the parking lot near the park’s canoe launch, the city’s parks department said in an announcement.

The event scheduled from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, is part of Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s ParkSCIENCE program series.

There is no cost to attend and free parking is available, officials said.

For more information, call 617-635-4505 or visit the city park’s department’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bostonparksdepartment.
