City sets final meeting seeking input for $410k project at Billings Field in West Roxbury
The city has scheduled a third and final meeting seeking input for a $410,000 project to improve the playground at Billings Field in West Roxbury.
The project will include renovating and/or replacing play structures, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department has said.
The plans would be put out for bid this summer and all work is scheduled to be completed by spring 2014, officials have said.
The parks department held a meeting in January this month to present initial plans and gather neighborhood feedback. A second meeting was held last month.
The next gathering will be the final meeting about the project. It is scheduled for is scheduled for Thursday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at the West Roxbury YMCA.
One hour before the meeting, city officials will visit Billings Field, which is surrounded by Centre, Bellevue and Lagrange streets, Sturges Road, and Quinn Way.
