The third-annual “West Roxbury Rocks,” an evening of live Irish and classic rock music and dancing, will be held this month to benefit the AgeWell West Roxbury program, which serves local seniors.

Along with music by “Tradition,” the evening will feature food, a silent auction and raffles. Students from the O’Dwyer School of Irish Dance will also perform.

More than 40 organizations and local businesses donated items for the silent auction, including sports memorabilia, golf passes, hotel and restaurant gift certificates, and theater and museum tickets.

The event is scheduled for Friday, April 26 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the Irish Social Club of Boston.

Tickets are $35. Proceeds will go toward AgeWell West Roxbury, a program run by the Jamaica Plain-based senior care nonprofit Ethos.

The YMCA of West Roxbury will provide child care until 8:30 p.m. There is no cost for Y members; it is $10 per child for non-members. Children must be registered by Sunday, April 21 to be eligible.

To buy tickets and for more information – including about early-bird discounts, sponsorships, advertising opportunities and child care – click here or here call 617-477-6724 or email agewell@ethocare.org.

The Gardens at Gethsemane, led by Alan MacKinnon, has made a long-term commitment to support the event and will be the title sponsor for West Roxbury Rocks in 2013, 2014 and 2015. More than 25 other organizations and businesses have also committed to sponsor the event or advertise in its program book.
