The city of Woburn is making registering to vote as simple as ordering fast food: you don't even have to get out of your car.

On Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon, booths with registration forms will be set up in the Woburn City Hall parking lot at 10 Common St. Any Massachusetts resident who wants to vote in upcoming elections, including the Nov. 6 presidential election, can swing by and fill out the necessary paperwork.

The deadline to register to vote for the presidential election is Oct. 17.

"[The deadline] was our reason to schedule this for now, so we could raise awareness." said City Clerk William Campbell.

Woburn held a drive-through voter registration event four years ago for people to register to vote in the previous presidential election, Campbell said. That event brought in about 75 drivers-licensed but unregistered residents. It wasn't a huge turnout, he said, but it was significant enough to hold the drive-through event again this election season.

According to Campbell, the registration forms take less than ten minutes to fill out.
