NORWOOD
Following years of delays and funding issues, the construction of the Morse Street Bridge and adjacent intersection project is basically done, town officials said last week. Work on the bridge was started in 2008, seven years after the idea was first broached, then delayed. Part of Governor Deval Patrick’s bridge-repair program, the project was supposed to be complete in summer of 2010. The bridge that spans the Neponset River was built in 1850 and reconstructed in the 1940s.
