Samuel Adams
The Founding Father, businessman, and brewer was born in Quincy. His cousin, John Adams, was the second president of the United States.
His businesses failed, but Sam Adams became a prominent leader in the build-up to the Revolutionary War and was one of the organizers of the Boston Tea Party of 1773.
The Boston Beer Company started using his name to brand their beer in 1985.
