Makeup artists' lipstick picks
1. Ann Supple Massey, owner of Rouge Cosmetics in Salem, says to choose red shades with blue undertones and berry colors this fall, along with monochromatic nudes.
2. If you’re not ready to kiss spring’s chic orange lip goodbye, Massey says you can update it by first smoothing concealer on lips as a base, then layering a bright orange on top.
3. For definition that doesn’t “overdo it,” says Tawni Hart, Nordstrom’s East Coast beauty and fragrance director, skip those trendy reds, oranges, and anything else. “Just go a shade or two darker than your actual lip color.”![]()
