Rockport man gets 10 years on child rape charges
SALEM, Mass.—A Rockport man accused of raping a young girl multiple times inside the men's bathroom of a Gloucester store where he worked has pleaded guilty.
Ronald Terelak pleaded guilty to four counts of forcible rape of a child under the age of 16 in Salem Superior Court last month and was sentenced to 10 years in state prison.
Prosecutors say the 34-year-old Terelak also pleaded guilty to four charges of indecent assault on a child under the age of 14.
Authorities say the assaults on the girl took place over the course of four years between May 2001 and April 2005.
The Gloucester Daily Times (http://bit.ly/uchnHt) reports that the assaults were brought to the attention of police by the victim's stepmother.
