    Somerville High School presents ‘The Wizard of Oz’

    The Somerville High School production of “The Wizard of Oz” opened on Thursday night. Complete with munchkins, a long journey on the yellow brick road and at least one wicked old witch, the classic production whisked the audience away to the merry old land of Oz.

    The Jitterbugs quickly engulfed the characters as they travelled along the yellow brick road. Jitterbugs force their victims to dance, dance, and dance until there is nothing left of them.

    The Cowardly Lion (Menezes) shook and cowered uncontrollably as the Wizard of Oz, voiced and played by Loic Fitanides, told the four friends they must kill the witch before he will grant their requests.
