The first Hubway bike sharing stations will be installed in Somerville this month, according to city officials, who also announced an increase in the total number of stations from eight to 12. Word of the four-station expansion comes as the city plans to officially welcome the popular bike-sharing network at a Wednesday ceremony at City Hall, said Thomas Champion, a city spokesman. Stations are expected to be installed throughout August, starting on the city’s east side with racks in Union Square, at City Hall, and on Beacon Street.
