Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School senior Molly Caron suffered a concussion during a soccer game after being hit in the head by a player’s knee in Oct. She said the protective headgear she now wears while playing soccer is “really lightweight” and doesn’t hinder her ability to head the ball.

But some experts say its benefits haven’t been proven.
