Post Office
The Boston Chamber of Commerce called for the installation of a post office at South Station in November 1916, to speed up the processing and distribution of mail throughout the region. Though initially a temporary measure, the post office was expanded as the South Postal Annex in 1960. The Post Office now operates in a separate building.
