Blizzard of 1978: Then and now
The Beachmont section of Revere was among the hardest-hit sections of the town. Over 2,500 people had to evacuate homes there during the '78 storm. This view is on Ocean View Avenue near Broad Sound Avenue, about 20 feet from the Rocky Beach seawall. The boys name isnt known.
The home closest to the beach was never rebuilt and is still a vacant lot, and its neighbor recently faced another disaster a fire that gutted the second floor.
