Waltham-based companies are featured among the annual Globe 100's Top Places to Work survey, with two -- the Winter, Wyman Cos., at No. 4 overall and first for small companies, and Commonwealth Financial Network, No. 6 -- ranking in the top 10 operations statewide, based on employee ratings. Stimulus boost to jobs overblown, review finds

While Massachusetts recipients of federal stimulus money collectively report 12,374 jobs saved or created, a Globe review finds the number to be wildly exaggerated. The Boston Land Co., credited as retaining 26 jobs with $2.7 million in subsidies for its affordable housing developments in Waltham, was among those expressing surprise that its funding had been redesignated as part of the stimulus package. High court rules against Raytheon on sales tax
