▸Tyler Kaufman, Tri-County: The senior running back rushed 21 times for 130 yards and three touchdowns to lift the Cougars past Southeastern, 28-6.

▸Bernard Lynch, Arlington Catholic: The Cougars remained unbeaten behind another stellar performance from their senior back: 136 yards rushing, one touchdown, and an 83-yard punt return for a score in a 28-0 win over Austin Prep.

▸Alex Opiela, Medfield: The senior cocaptain was 23 of 39 passing for 301 yards and four touchdowns while running for another score in a 32-16 win over Norton.

▸Nick Scott, Brookline: The sophomore quarterback connected for three touchdown tosses, including two to his brother, Leon, a senior, and ran for one more in a 47-28 win over Dedham.

▸Nick Zucco, Franklin: In a 35-21 Hockomock League win over Canton, the sophomore signal caller accounted for 305 yards through the air, 99 on the ground, and four touchdowns (2 rushing, 2 passing).

A couple of one-loss teams with young quarterbacks square off in the Bay State Conference. In his first varsity start, Needham sophomore Ryan Charter threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-22 win over Walpole. Natick sophomore Troy Flutie is second in Division 2 with 14 TD passes.
