About Mount Ida College
Founded in 1899, Mount Ida College is a comprehensive, affordable college that combines professional education with a solid liberal arts foundation. We offer incredible programs, a supportive learning environment, and a diverse, welcoming community. Our 72-acre campus is located in suburban Newton, Massachusetts, which has twice been named "America's Safest City." We're just eight miles (13km) from downtown Boston, the greatest college town in America!
How to Apply Mount Ida accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year for admission to both the fall and spring semesters (except for certain select programs). We welcome applications for admission from promising students of many different backgrounds, interests, and talents, including high school seniors, transfer students, and international students.
When evaluating your application, we consider grades, standardized test scores, recommendations, and the personal essay. We also consider extracurricular activities, community service, and leadership potential. Throughout the application process, you'll work with one Mount Ida admissions counselor, who serves as your personal contact on all matters related to admission and financial aid.
