Soon it will be time to take advantage of snowy winter days. There are a number of nearby spots where you and the family can go sledding, making for a joyful day in the snow.

Flagstaff Hill on Boston Common is a popular slope, and kids will enjoy the long, even ride. You may want to visit the Sugar Bowl in Jamaica Plain, an inverted hill that, with enough momentum, will land you on the other side. Or you could try the Arnold Arboretum’s Peters Hill, where you can view the Boston skyline.
