When it comes to coffee, there are a lot of options. You could take it with or without sugar, with or without cream, hot or cold. If you want it flavored, there’s mocha, hazelnut, caramel, coconut, and more. Or you could order a grande iced cappuccino with three pumps of vanilla syrup, two shots of espresso, and caramel drizzle. Would you like whip cream on that?
So many coffee choices can make you wonder: what defines a good coffee shop? Perhaps you don’t choose your coffee shop for its long list of options. Maybe its the vibe that keeps you returning to the same spot — you love the comfy lounge chairs and smiling staff.
Or maybe you are the type of coffee drinker who sticks to a schedule and is always on the move. If so, your favorite coffee shop may be the one nearby with fast service to help you get out the door.
Then again, it is possible that you need all of the above at a fair price. Whatever it is you look for in a coffee shop, we want to know your most frequented spot, and your usual order. When we asked readers in 2021, their favorites included Thinking Cup, Recreo, Pavement, George Howell, and Dunkin.
