The national tour of Broadway’s If/Then will be playing at the Boston Opera House this summer.

Broadway in Boston announced Thursday that the original Broadway musical will be in the city for two weeks from July 5-17. Original Broadway cast members Jackie Burns, Tamyra Gray, Anthony Rapp, and Matthew Hydzik will star in the performances, according to a statement.

Rapp is best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, Rent. Burns is known for playing the role of Elphaba in Wicked, both on Broadway and in the First National Tour.

If/Then is described as a “contemporary new musical that follows two distinct storylines in the life of Elizabeth, a city planner who moves back to New York to restart her life in the city of infinite possibilities,” according to the statement.

The role of Elizabeth was first played by Tony award-winning Idina Menzel, who received a best leading actress in a musical nomination for her performance.

Tickets for If/Then at the Opera House go on sale at BroadwayinBoston.com and Ticketmaster this Sunday. Prices start at $44.
