The Huntington Theatre Company raised $1.3 million at its annual Spotlight Spectacular gala. More than 440 people attended the May 6 event, which was held at the Boston Center for the Arts’s Cyclorama. The funds raised go toward the theater company’s fiscal needs for the year, including community education and outreach programs. David Epstein, the chairman of the Huntington’s board of trustees, and Betsy Epstein (inset right, with David), a trustee and chair of the Huntington’s Education committee, received the 2019 Wimberly Award for their support and longtime involvement with the theater. Huntington artistic director Peter DuBois was also a Wimberly honoree.
