Starting next week, you’ll once again be able to sip beer from one of the top-rated breweries in Massachusetts at an outdoor beer garden in the heart of downtown Boston.
Trillium Brewing announced on Friday that its seasonal beer garden on the Rose Kennedy Greenway will officially open for business starting Thursday, May 24, just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
According to an earlier press release, the beer garden will offer “improved seating” and “more accommodating hours of operation” compared to last year’s inaugural run. Jonathan Tompkins, Trillium’s director of marketing, told Boston.com in April that the brewery was “able to lay out a configuration of tables that optimizes” the expanded space.
Tompkins also said at the time that the garden will be open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays (compared to 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. last year), 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
Famed for its New England IPAs, Trillium additionally will serve a range of other beer styles at the Garden on the Greenway, as well as wines from Westport Rivers Winery.
Trillium won’t be the only beer garden in Boston this year. Wachusett Brewing currently has a beer garden open at City Hall Plaza, Downeast Cider’s Greenway Drinkery is set to open Monday, and Castle Island Brewing’s beer garden under the expressway at Ink Block should debut later this spring.
