Casey Kasem’s children haven’t seen their father the former “American Top 40’’ host in a while and demand to know where he is, the AP reports.
A judge ordered an investigation into where Kasem’s whereabouts after his wife’s attorney said he had “no idea’’ where Kasem is.
Kasem, 82, has Parkinson’s disease and his wife Jean Kasem had been choosing his medical facilities. On Monday, his daughter Kerri Kasem and was appointed her father’s temporary caretaker.
The AP reports:
In a court filing last week, Kerri Kasem's attorneys wrote that the entertainer has been repeatedly moved without warning and his children have been unable to see him. The complaint accused Jean Kasem of elder abuse by isolating her husband from his family.
The hearing then led to the judge ordering an investigation into Kasem’s whereabouts after both parties revealed they did not know where Casey Kasem was.
At the hearing, Jean Kasem’s attorney Craig Marcus said Kasem had likely been removed from the country but didn’t know his whereabouts. Kerri Kasem’s attorney, Troy Martin, said the family believes the TV host has been taken to an Indian reservation in Washington state.
