When Caitlyn Jenner came out as transgender to her family, her daughters were worried that she wouldn’t be their father anymore. But this past Father’s Day, Kendall and Kylie Jenner showed that no matter her appearance, Caitlyn is still the same person who raised them.
The Jenner daughters took to social media to share childhood photos show their support. Kendall, 19, called her father a hero beneath an image of herself as a toddler being kissed by Jenner.
“My whole life this soul was my daddy and just because your appearance is different now doesn’t mean you were any less of a father to me my entire life,’’ Kendall wrote. “Happy Father’s Day to the person who raised me, and taught me everything I know, my hero.’’
Kylie, 17, posted a picture of her and her sister both dressed as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz with their parents, and quoted Caitlyn’s own words from an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“Happy Father’s Day my little light of sunshine,’’ she wrote. “‘You can still call me dad, Kylie. No matter what I’m always going to be your father. That’s never going to change.’’’
Half-sister Khloe Kardashian also shared a photo of her late father Robert Kardashian next to her step-father, saying “Thank you Lord for blessing me with not one phenomenal father but I was lucky enough to have two.’’
Caitlyn was surrounded with love on Father’s Day by all 10 of her children, according to Mirror. Caitlyn has six biological children from three marriages, and is still considered a step-father to the four Kardashians.
I Am Cait, an eight-part television series about Caitlyn’s gender transition, will air on E! July 26.
