Chris Evans sat down on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Monday to promote ‘“Avengers: Infinity War,” and he brought company.
Meyers asked Evans and his younger brother, actor Scott Evans, trivia questions to test how well the Sudbury-bred siblings know each other. They got every question right.
The quiz unearthed some Evans childhood stories, including that Chris told his first-grade class that his father was an astronaut — and started charging his peers for tickets to the moon; that Chris split his brother’s forehead stitches open with a paperback copy of “Peter Pan” in the back of their family’s minivan; and that Scott’s first kiss took place in the bushes of a Papa Gino’s in Concord.
“It must have been a fancy one if you had bushes outside your Papa Gino’s,” Meyers said.
The final question, which Meyers described as “heartbreakingly cute,” revealed that Chris used to sing Neil Diamond’s “Heartlight” to help his younger brother go to sleep.
“This has come up before, where he’s been, like, ‘We’re not bringing that up,'” Scott said. “But I couldn’t not bring it up.”
Just don’t expect Chris to break into song.
“That’s not happening,” the “Captain America” actor said.
