The Kennedy family is about to add another member to the clan.
Bobby Kennedy III, the grandson of Ethel Kennedy and the late Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, will tie the knot with former CIA officer Amaryllis Fox at the Kennedy family compound in Hyannis Port on July 9, according to Page Six and Town and Country magazine.
Bobby Kennedy’s father, attorney and environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., told T&C that he was “really happy” about the impending nuptials.
“We love her,” he said of the Kennedy family’s feelings toward Fox.
RFK Jr. said the wedding would be similar to his and actress Cheryl Hines’ in 2014 in that it’s “going to be kind of a clambake, which is the same thing Cheryl and I did and it worked.”
Unlike many members of his family, the younger Kennedy, 33, chose to forgo a career in politics in favor of working in the entertainment industry. He wrote and starred in the 2013 film “AmeriQua,” which follows a lazy college student’s misadventures through Italy after his parents cut him off. He also wrote, directed, and produced a 2012 documentary about performer Eric Lewis, titled “ELEW: Live from Infinity.” Most recently, Kennedy has solicited funds to produce “Freak Power,” an adaptation of a book by the same name about the late gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson’s 1970 campaign for the office of sheriff of Pitkin County, Colorado.
According to her bio on WME Speakers, Fox, 37, began working with the CIA while completing a master’s in international security at Georgetown University, eventually serving as a Clandestine Services officer until 2009. She later founded Mulu, an “e-commerce company supporting at-risk communities around the world.” The daughter of an English actress and an American economist, Fox also has a daughter of her own, Zoe, whom she frequently posts about on Instagram. Fox’s most recent Instagram post is of herself and Kennedy, and features the caption, “Adventure awaits ❤️”
