The man who regularly dresses up as President Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live” is helping New Hampshire’s Democratic Party raise some cash ahead of the fall midterm elections.
Actor Alec Baldwin will be the keynote speaker at the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s annual fall fundraising dinner, now known as the Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner, according to a press release. The dinner will be held in Manchester on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. at the Manchester Downtown Hotel.
“With 69 days until the election, I have dedicated my efforts to helping the Democratic Party win across the country,” Baldwin said in the release. “I’m excited to speak at the Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner knowing that New Hampshire has been on the frontlines of electing strong Democratic candidates to office.”
2018 marks the first year that the annual fundraising event will carry Roosevelt’s name. Long known as the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, or “J-J Dinner,” the name was changed to the “Kennedy-Clinton Dinner” in 2016, and then changed to the Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner earlier this month.
