Filmmaker Peter Berg is the scheduled guest speaker at the Massachusetts Production Coalition’s holiday meeting Tuesday night. Held at District Hall, the festive film and media meet-up kicks off with a cocktail hour, or two. After attendees mix and mingle, they’re invited to a conversation with Berg.

Berg is currently in town directing “Wonderland,’’ a Netflix feature film starring Mark Wahlberg. The film is the fifth collaboration between the two, including 2016’s “Patriots Day,’’ which chronicled the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the subsequent manhunt.

“Wonderland,’’ based on the crime novels by late local author Robert B. Parker, chronicles the story of newly unlicensed Boston private investigator Spenser (Wahlberg) after a prison stint. While many of the movie’s details are still under wraps, filming has taken place around the city.
