Ben Affleck’s 2019 is looking busy.
The trailer for Affleck’s new Netflix film, “Triple Frontier,’’ dropped last week. The actor shared a cast photo of his upcoming film, working title “Torrance,’’ on Tuesday. And it was just announced that he will star in and produce the film adaptation of the Kate Alice Marshall thriller, “I Am Still Alive.’’
According to Variety, “I Am Still Alive’’ follows the story of a teenage girl who has to move in with her off-grid father after her mother dies. However, she ends up stranded with only her dad’s dog.
Formerly titled “The Has-Been,’’ details of the “Torrance’’ plot have been kept pretty quiet. It follows a former sports star who loses his family and struggles with addiction. He begins coaching a high school basketball team at his alma mater in an attempt to get his life back. The film is directed by Gavin O’Connor and written by O’Connor and Brad Ingelsby. Affleck and O’Connor last teamed up for “The Accountant.’’
While release dates for “Torrance’’ and “I Am Still Alive’’ haven’t been decided or announced yet, “Triple Frontier’’ is slated for release March 2019.
