Jenny Slate will return to Boston for a show at the Wilbur

Comedian Jenny Slate is coming home.

The Milton native took to Instagram Wednesday to announce her return to the Boston area for a show at The Wilbur on May 25.

“HELLO BOSTON DARLINGS I AM COMING BACK TO THE WILBUR,’’ Slate wrote. “I am currently at the Grand Canyon and I just stepped my whole body and spirit into the ancient petrified footprint of a T-REX so i have a feeling that these upcoming shows are going to be WILLLLLD! Pre-sale is ON! Get em while they last!’’

She added 13 red emoji hearts and accompanied the caption with a photo from her childhood.

The comedian — best known for “Marcel the Shell,’’ “Venom,’’ and “Obvious Child’’ — is also scheduled to appear at Boston Calling. Comedians Fred Armisen, Michael Che, Melissa Villaseñor, Marina Franklin, Sam Jay, and Lamont Price will also appear at the festival.
