A grinning Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a.k.a. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, posed for pictures Wednesday with the newest addition to the royal family — but didn’t announce his name until hours later: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
But wee Archie isn’t the only new baby whose name has been announced. Amy Schumer and her hubby, Chris Fischer, have named their son Gene Attell Fischer. Baby Gene, born within hours of the royal bundle, shares a name with Schumer’s buddy, comedian Dave Attell.
Attell and Schumer performed together back in January, when a pregnant Schumer took the stage at a New York comedy club where Attell was on the bill. The duo joked during the set about names for the baby. Attell also appeared in Schumer’s 2015 movie, “Trainwreck.’’
Gene Attell Fischer was born at 10:55 p.m. Sunday, May 5. “Our royal baby was born,’’ the proud mom posted on Instagram.
