Thursday’s Red Sox game featured more than a few famous faces in the crowd.
Cast members from the upcoming “Spotlight’’ film, including Mark Ruffalo, John Slattery, and Rachel McAdams, were spotted at Fenway Park where the group was filming a scene for the movie, according to the Globe.
Thursday’s scene centered on a conversation between Ruffalo, who is playing Globe reporter Michael Rezendes, Slattery, who is playing former Globe editor Ben Bradlee Jr., and actors Gene Amoroso and Brian d’Arcy James, who are playing former Globe reporters Steve Kurkjian and Matt Carroll, respectively.
Rezendes and Kurkjian were among other current and former Globies who got to hobnob with their soon-to-be silver screen counterparts during Thursday’s Red Sox-Rays game.
McAdams, who is taking on the role of former Globe reporter Sacha Pfeiffer, was also spotted at the game wearing a Globe-adorned hat.
Each of the real-life editors and reporters may have a cameo in the film, according to the Globe report, and were invited to sit in the stands with their movie dopplegangers during the scene.
“Spotlight,’’ which also stars Liev Schreiber, Stanley Tucci, and Michael Keaton, is set to continue shooting at the Globe’s offices over the weekend.
