Boston ‘90s rock band Belly announces reunion tour and Boston show

The group also plans to record new material.

Earlier this month, Boston indie rock band Belly announced that they would be reuniting to tour the U.S. and Europe and to record new music. The band, which originally disbanded, features Throwing Muses guitarist Tanya Donelly, and is known best for songs like 1993’s “Feed the Tree.’’

On Monday, the band announced more specific touring plans, which include a Boston show. Belly will play Royale on August 12. It will be the band’s first local show in more than 20 years. Tickets for the Royale date go on sale Friday, February 25, at noon via Ticketmaster.
