Ginger Betty’s Bakery in Quincy has been a part of the local community for 21 years. On any given afternoon you can find a store full of children eagerly exploring the brightly-colored interior and the mountains of gingerbread treats on the shelves.

Beyond providing sweets, owner Beth “Ginger Betty” Veneto also like to give back, sending treats to troops overseas and their families through the G.I. Ginger Betty Foundation and raising money each year with bakery sales for the Martin Richard Charitable Foundation. So with Mark Wahlberg and John Goodman in town to film Patriots’ Day, the upcoming movie about the Marathon bombings, Ginger Betty’s Bakery decided to (literally) roll out the red carpet for the film’s cast and crew.
