Boston Common carousel opening delayed due to the weather

Sorry, kids: A spring snowstorm forced organizers to cancel opening day of the beloved Boston Common Frog Pond Carousel.

Organizers told Boston.com they hope to open the carousel on Saturday.

When the “zany carousel characters” reassume their posts, they’ll offer rides seven days a week — weather permitting.

The carousel will open daily at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A single ride during the 2016 season will cost $3. A 10-ride card can be purchased for $25.
