Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders made sure people were feeling the bern—literally—when he stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday. In a segment called “Ya Bernt,” the Vermont senator dished out harsh burns against the one percent, big banks, and Seth Meyers himself.
“Hey, one percent, what do you need all that money for? If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were trying to compensate for something,” Sanders said.
And: “How is it possible that some of you are paying a lower tax rate than your secretaries? That makes less sense than the plot of Batman v Superman.”
Sanders ended by turning the tables on Meyers, calling out the Late Night host by making fun of his hair.
“Why does it come to a point like that?” Sanders asked about Meyers’s hairstyle. “It looks like a tiny surfer is about to hang ten on your forehead. Seth Meyers, ya Bernt!”
Need some ice for that burn, Seth?
