Mark Wahlberg admits he can’t stop listening to Adele

“I listen to it nonstop. It embarrasses my wife."

Mark Wahlberg may cultivate a tough guy image on-screen, but the actor showed a little vulnerability by sharing two secrets on Tuesday’s episode of The Late Late Show: One, he’s scared of flying. Two, he fights that fear by listening to Adele.

During his appearance, Wahlberg shared the story of the first time he met host James Corden. The actor said he approached Corden at a hotel to ask him about the English singer-songwriter.

“I know this is weird and people always give me crap about it, but I had seen you doing Carpool Karaoke with Adele,” Wahlberg said. “I’m not a good flyer, so I’ve been listening to Adele’s album now for as long as it’s been out.”

Wahlberg said that he doesn’t usually “fan out” on people, but after listening to Adele’s 21 on repeat, he wanted to ask Corden what the singer was like.

“I listen to it nonstop,” Wahlberg said. “It embarrasses my wife.”
