The first trailer for Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell’s Daddy’s Home 2 hit YouTube Thursday, and this time, their dads are coming home, as well.
In the trailer, Dusty (Wahlberg) and Brad (Ferrell) are getting along much better than they did in the 2015 original. Brad remains married to Dusty’s ex-wife (Linda Cardellini), and for the sake of their kids, the family agrees to hold a joint Christmas together. However, things gets dicey when Dusty’s bad boy dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad’s sensitive father (John Lithgow) enter the equation.
“This guy raises your kids half the time?” Gibson asks Wahlberg, as Ferrell and Lithgow share a passionate hug and kiss after not seeing each other for two weeks.
Daddy’s Home 2, which also stars Alessandra Ambrosio and West Newbury native John Cena, was filmed in a number of Boston-area cities and towns, including Cambridge, Concord, Hingham, Quincy, and Wellesley. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters Nov. 10.
