Mark Wahlberg faces off against an unrecognizable Kevin Spacey in new trailer

Mark Wahlberg indulges his silly side in the upcoming dad-filled Daddy’s Home 2, but he explores a very different movie genre — and family dynamic — in the first trailer for All The Money in the World.

Based on the real-life abduction of the grandson of billionaire oil tycoon J. Paul Getty in 1973, the trailer begins by showcasing the opulent life of J. Paul Getty III and his subsequent kidnapping, set to the fitting lyrics of “Time of the Season” by The Zombies (“What’s your name? Who’s your daddy? Is he rich like me?”).

Despite the fact that at one point the elder Getty was considered the richest man in the world, in the trailer he flatly refuses to pay for his grandson’s ransom, ignoring calls from the boy’s mother (Manchester by the Sea‘s Michelle Williams) and an ex-CIA agent who is helping her try to get him back (Wahlberg).

“How much money would you pay to release your grandson if not 17 million dollars?” a reporter asks Getty in the trailer.

“Nothing,” he replies.

Directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, The Martian), All the Money in the World will land in theaters Dec. 8.
