Steven Tyler updated the world on his health this past weekend, days after announcing that the remainder of Aerosmith’s tour would be cut short so the singer could seek “immediate care.”

In an all-caps message posted to his social media channels on Saturday, Tyler said that he had to end the tour early in order undergo a procedure that only his doctor in the U.S. could perform, and that any reports that the singer had suffered a heart attack or a seizure were false.

Tyler also said that he was heartbroken to depart the tour, and that “the band has never played better.” Aerosmith had four shows remaining prior to Tyler’s health issues, and was forced to cancel sets in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico.
