Eagle’s Deli and Pino’s Pizza, a pair of Cleveland Circle restaurants that share a building and an owner, were closed all day on Friday so that the cast and crew of “SMILF” could film scenes for the show’s second season from the afternoon into the evening.

On Saturday, “SMILF” star Frankie Shaw posted a photo to Instagram in front of a large sign that read, “Please be advised: Eagle’s Deli with be closed on Friday 8/17 to be featured in the hit Showtime series ‘SMILF’ starring Brookline native Frankie Shaw[.] We apologize for any inconvenience.”

In her caption, Shaw thanked the two restaurants that are popular with Boston College students for letting her spend the day there.

“Thank you @pinos.pizza and #eaglesdeli, been going to your restaurants since I was a little girl,” she wrote.

Eagle’s and Pino’s owner Mo “Mike” Osmani said he was thrilled that Shaw picked his restaurants for her show, and that she and the crew handled themselves very professionally.

“She hired a lot of locals. More than 100 people were hired from Boston,” Osmani said. “She organized it perfectly.”
