The Rolling Stones aren’t the only band set to rock Gillette Stadium this summer.
Dead & Company will perform at the home of the Patriots on Saturday, June 22 as part of their 2019 summer tour, the group’s sixth nationwide tour since forming in 2015.
The six-piece jam band features former Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, and Bob Weir, singer-songwriter John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge, and Fare Thee Well and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. Their show will be held two weeks after the Rolling Stones play Gillette on June 8.
The concert will mark a Boston sports venue hat trick of sorts for Dead & Company — the band played Fenway Park in July 2016 and June 2017 and TD Garden in November 2017. Most recently, the group played the Xfinity Center in Mansfield in May 2018.
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. For more information on the tour, you can visit deadandcompany.com.
