What did Chris Evans do to Canada?

"This is clearly an act of aggression," Evans tweeted.

Entertainment Tonight Canada shared the news that Chris Evans will star in the new Antoine Fuqua film, “Infinite,’’ in a tweet on Tuesday.

The catch? They used one of the most unflattering photos available of Evans: a mustachioed red carpet headshot from his 2018 Broadway run of “Lobby Hero.’’

“This is clearly an act of aggression,’’ Evans tweeted, with a link to the article. “There are literally hundreds of photos to choose from. What did I ever do to you, Canada?’’

More than 640,000 people have liked Evans’s tweet as of Thursday afternoon, and many have responded with kind words. The official Netflix Canada Twitter account even offered up a thread “on behalf of all Canadians’’ of “hot Chris Evans photos’’ to help make up for ET Canada’s initial post.

ET Canada got into the mix of replies, asking, “Any chance you can send us a selfie to swap into the gallery? The Broadway ’stache is all [photo distribution company] Getty is providing for recent pics. We are hoping this gallery entry will redeem us.’’
